Aboriginal Family and Relationship Support


RAV provides support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and individuals to help strengthen family relationships.

Counselling provides an opportunity to talk with a professionally trained person to discuss couple issues, conflicts with friends, relationship breakdown, parenting, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, grief, sexual problems, childhood sexual abuse, stress and work related tensions and disputes.

About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Manager Communications and Marketing, your responsibilities include assisting in the provision of internal and external marketing and communications to strengthen public, client, sector and staff awareness of RAV and its services. You will develop and coordinate promotional materials, general communications, media activities and website content in relation to RAV’s services, programs and news.

Skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads to meet deadlines and responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop software.
  • Excellent computer literacy skills (MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • A strong understanding of social media platforms.
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications/PR or similar area (partially or fully completed advantageous).

This role is based at our Camberwell office. The position is full-time and the successful candidate will be offered a one-year fixed-term contract for this role, with a possibility of extending this beyond the 12-month period following review of business and operational needs at that time.
