connectEDspace is a website by Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV), dedicated to young people to help provide all the information they need to deal with the stuff they go through each day.

Aboriginal Family and Relationship Support

RAV provides support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and individuals to help strengthen family relationships.

Counselling provides an opportunity to talk with a professionally trained person to discuss couple issues, conflicts with friends, relationship breakdown, parenting, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, grief, sexual problems, childhood sexual abuse, stress and work related tensions and disputes.


Group Facilitator - Vietnamese Men's Behaviour Change Program

We have an exciting opportunity for a Vietnamese speaking, motivated and experienced facilitator to work as part of an integrated Family Violence team in a highly professional and supportive environment at our Sunshine location.

 About the role:

Reporting to the Senior Manager Western Region, your responsibilities include delivering specific family violence group programs to Vietnamese men who have used violent and controlling behaviours towards family members.

 Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Fluency in the Vietnamese language, and familiarity with Vietnamese culture and community.
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or a related social science discipline.
  • A demonstrated understanding of the men’s behaviour change process and the gendered nature of family violence and a commitment to advocating for non-violence, and to living non-violently.
  • Completion of ‘No to Violence’ Graduate Certificate in Male Behaviour Change Group Facilitation, Swinburne University or willingness to undertake Level 1, 4 day ‘No to Violence’ training in Mens Behaviour Change which RAV may support/fund.
  • Willingness to undertake cultural training relating to culturally and linguistically diverse clients.

This role is based in our office in Sunshine.  RAV centres are open, depending on client demand and operational requirements. For this role you can expect that some or all of this work will be outside of normal office hours and you may be required to work one late night (Thursday).
