connectEDspace is a website by Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV), dedicated to young people to help provide all the information they need to deal with the stuff they go through each day.

Aboriginal Family and Relationship Support

RAV provides support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and individuals to help strengthen family relationships.

Counselling provides an opportunity to talk with a professionally trained person to discuss couple issues, conflicts with friends, relationship breakdown, parenting, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, grief, sexual problems, childhood sexual abuse, stress and work related tensions and disputes.


Practice Specialist - Therapeutic Services

About the role:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, your responsibilities includes providing leadership for practice, program and service departments for therapeutic services at RAV. This will be achieved through:-
Coordination and facilitation of clinical supervision for Clinical Supervisors, in addition to leadership of the Therapeutic Services Clinical Supervision team;
Undertaking and participating in projects and initiatives that enhance the practice, program and service development of therapeutic services at RAV.
Ensuring that RAV’s therapeutic services’ practice and programs are aligned with sector developments and progressions.
Developing and reviewing policy, procedures and documentation in regards to our therapeutic services at RAV.

Skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology or other related discipline.
  • Strong commitment to working systemically with families affected by family law complexities, family violence and mental health difficulties.
  • Demonstrated professional experience, training and skill in the provision of clinical supervision.
  • Contemporary knowledge of relevant government policy and research in respect to relationship and support services for families.
  • Sound report, policy and procedure writing skills.

This role is based across our Melbourne CBD and Camberwell offices.  RAV centres are open, depending on client demand and operational requirements. Depending upon the role, location and service requirements, you may be required to work one evening weekly on a regular basis.
