connectEDspace is a website by Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV), dedicated to young people to help provide all the information they need to deal with the stuff they go through each day.

Aboriginal Family and Relationship Support

RAV provides support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and individuals to help strengthen family relationships.

Counselling provides an opportunity to talk with a professionally trained person to discuss couple issues, conflicts with friends, relationship breakdown, parenting, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, grief, sexual problems, childhood sexual abuse, stress and work related tensions and disputes.


Program Leader - Family Violence Training

About the role:

Reporting to the Senior Manager Training and Development you will work across the full breadth of RAV’s family violence services. This is a multifaceted position that will require you to:

  • Further develop existing programs that will enhance and add to RAV’s current offerings of FV related training to enable increased impact at a client, professional, industry and community levels to be able to respond to increasing demand for training services,
  • Make substantial contributions to the scoping and development of new training courses for RAV as well as being available to deliver workshops and professional development sessions.
  • RAV is also a Registered Training Organization (RTO) and provider of higher education qualifications.  The Program Leader – Family Violence Training would be responsible for the promotion, delivery and quality assurance in relation to Professional Training, preventive programs and relevant courses on RAVs RTO scope. This position will contribute to the planning, design, delivery and assessment of learning of courses and units and will have a key role in assuring quality, integrity and student outcomes.


Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications in Education, Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, Law or other related fields.
  • Vocational qualification or significant work history related to Family Violence.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Substantial and successful experience in course design, delivery, assessment and evaluation in the tertiary and vocational sectors.
  • Understanding of academic and vocational educational and training requirements, regulations and standards as well as ensuring compliance in relation to training services and products.
