connectEDspace is a website by Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV), dedicated to young people to help provide all the information they need to deal with the stuff they go through each day.

Aboriginal Family and Relationship Support

RAV provides support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and individuals to help strengthen family relationships.

Counselling provides an opportunity to talk with a professionally trained person to discuss couple issues, conflicts with friends, relationship breakdown, parenting, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, grief, sexual problems, childhood sexual abuse, stress and work related tensions and disputes.


Senior Advisor - Men's Behaviour Change

  • Contribute to maintaining and strengthening RAV’s Men’s Behaviour Change services and programs
  • Base salary $91k-95k (pro-rata), Superannuation and tax-free salary packaging benefits
  • Part-time 2 days per week (.4FTE) long term contract opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, experienced professional to join our Practice Quality and Evaluation team, working in this senior role, contributing to the ongoing future success of these programs across Victoria.

About the role:

Reporting to the General Manager, Practice Quality and Evaluation your responsibilities include working with the Practice Development Specialist – Family Violence to provide leadership for practice, program and service developments for both community and correctional Men’s Behaviour Change Programs.  This includes facilitation of clinical supervision for supervisors and family violence co-ordinators, secondary consultation, training and program support and undertaking projects related to policy, procedure and family violence services at RAV.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in family therapy, psychology, social work or a related discipline,
  • Able to satisfy the supervision eligibility criteria of the ‘no to violence minimum standards and quality practice manual 2006,
  • Strong commitment to working systemically with families affected by family violence, family law complexities and mental health difficulties,
  • Exceptional inter-personal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of people and professionals, and,
  • Demonstrated professional experience, training and skill in the provision of clinical supervision.

This role is based in our Melbourne CBD centre.  The successful incumbent will be employed on a long term fixed-term contract to enable them to successfully develop, enhance and implement the programs required with managers and facilitator’s across Victoria.

RAV requires all employees to undertake a satisfactory National and/or International Police Check (if applicable) and Working with Children Check prior to employment.
