Aboriginal Family and Relationship Support


RAV provides support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and individuals to help strengthen family relationships.

Counselling provides an opportunity to talk with a professionally trained person to discuss couple issues, conflicts with friends, relationship breakdown, parenting, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, grief, sexual problems, childhood sexual abuse, stress and work related tensions and disputes.

About the role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer your responsibilities include key Risk management, Contract and Service Compliance. RAV has established an accredited Quality Management System compliant with IS9001:2008 Standard and is compliant with all funding (state and federal) contract requirements.  This role will identify and assess risks as well as develop policies and procedures that lead to service improvement. The role works collaboratively with senior managers, centre managers and key stakeholders to audit key risks, identify corrective and preventative actions minimising risks to RAV.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications related to quality management and/or project management e.g. Prince2.
  • Previous experience working with and implementing a Quality Management Framework and understanding of the accreditation principles, practices and requirements including an understanding of the issues arising from accreditation processes for organisations within the community sector and not-for-profits.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of risk management at an organisational level.
  • Excellent project management skills including project planning, working to tight deadlines and management performance and risk.
  • Well-developed networking and relationship building skills, with the ability to gain commitment across the department and with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work with staff to deliver concise, authoritative, high quality written material.

RAV requires all employees to undertake a satisfactory National and/or International Police Check (if applicable) and Working with Children Check prior to employment. 

This role is based at our Central Office, in Camberwell and includes off-street parking. A certain amount of travel will be involved including travel to other centres, some of which are regional based. A current driver’s license and access to a vehicle will form part of the role.
