Young people can face all sorts of pressures – including problems at school, with friends or at home.
connectEDspace is a website by Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV), dedicated to young people to help provide all the information they need to deal with the stuff they go through each day.

Aboriginal Family and Relationship Support


RAV provides support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and individuals to help strengthen family relationships.

Counselling provides an opportunity to talk with a professionally trained person to discuss couple issues, conflicts with friends, relationship breakdown, parenting, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, grief, sexual problems, childhood sexual abuse, stress and work related tensions and disputes.

Child and Parenting

We provide programs designed to improve the wellbeing and safety of children and young people. We also offer group work and post separation parenting courses. Individual mums and dads come together with others in similar situations to share their experiences and learn new skills.

Parenting After Separation Series (Melbourne Family Relationship Centre)

A parenting group to inform parents about the impact of separation and divorce.

What is Parenting After Separation?

Parenting After Separation provides parents with key information and strategies to assist children tosuccessfully adjust to separation and divorce.

The group is interactive and meets the requirements for Court Orders. Areas covered may include:

  • Adults’ and children’s reactions to separation
  • Adjustment process to separation
  • Ways to help children adjust to the separation of their parents and to minimise the potential for harm
  • Communication with children following separation
  • Children’s post divorce reactions and the need for positive parenting
  • Parenting Styles
  • Tried-and-true methods that can help towards establishing a new and different co-parenting relationship
  • Additional issues raised by participants (e.g. discussion of step-family issues; new relationships post-separation; dealing with legal processes).

Handout materials are provided and certificates of participation, suitable for submission to Court, will be provided at the successful conclusion of the program
