connectEDspace - support for young people

Young people can face all sorts of pressures – including problems at school, with friends or at home.
connectEDspace is a website by Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV), dedicated to young people to help provide all the information they need to deal with the stuff they go through each day.

Aboriginal Family and Relationship Support

RAV provides support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and individuals to help strengthen family relationships.

Counselling provides an opportunity to talk with a professionally trained person to discuss couple issues, conflicts with friends, relationship breakdown, parenting, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, grief, sexual problems, childhood sexual abuse, stress and work related tensions and disputes.

    Note: This centre offers counselling through CatholicCare, formerly Centacare Catholic Family Services. RAV has another centre in Sunshine which offers a range of different services to the FRC, including family violence prevention, a pre-marriage program, and groups for men and women.     Current programs

    Lawyers and Mediators Forum
    This forum is designed to stimulate and encourage discussion on how Sunshine FRC can work with lawyers in the West and foster beneficial connections for effectively and proactively serving mutual clients.

    Journeys session
    These information sessions are designed to assist separating parents navigate the challenges of separation while prioritising the needs of their children. We also offer specifically tailored sessions for members of the CALD community.

    The centre also runs courses for parents who have experienced separation and are having difficulties with their co-parenting relationship; and for children whose parents are going through separation. For more information, the My Parents 'n' Me brochure.

    Sunshine FRC is managed by a consortium involving Relationships Australia Victoria as the lead, and partners CatholicCare, MacKillop Family Services and Community West.
