connectEDspace is a website by Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV), dedicated to young people to help provide all the information they need to deal with the stuff they go through each day.

Aboriginal Family and Relationship Support

RAV provides support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and individuals to help strengthen family relationships.

Counselling provides an opportunity to talk with a professionally trained person to discuss couple issues, conflicts with friends, relationship breakdown, parenting, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, grief, sexual problems, childhood sexual abuse, stress and work related tensions and disputes.

About the role:

Reporting to the Centre Manager headspace Bass Coast-South Gippsland, you will work in a fast-paced environment and be an experienced professional with considerable knowledge in health service operations and delivery. The Client Services Coordinator (CSC) will work collaboratively with all headspace staff, including an intake team, medical and allied health private practitioners, and administrative and support staff. The CSC provides high level practice management and administrative support to facilitate the delivery of care to young people who access the headspace centre. The CSC will play a leading role in the administrative coordination and functions of the headspace centre, using their organisation skills and knowledge of practice management systems and requirements. 


Qualifications and Registrations: 

  • Formal qualifications (certificate or diploma level) in a relevant discipline. Or substantial experience in a similar practice management role within the health sector.


  • Demonstrated experience in a practice management/client services role within a health setting that includes general practice, private allied health practice or community services (direct service) setting.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining practice procedures for a general practice, private allied health practice setting or community services (direct service) setting.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising trainee staff.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Specialist knowledge of the processes to efficiently and effectively manage a busy multidisciplinary health service.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a diverse range of people, in particular to respond to young people with respect and sensitivity.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to priories and manage multiple and competing work tasks and deliver to agreed deadlines. 
  • Advanced computer skills including work processing, spreadsheets and database applications, including the capacity to learn new software packages.

This role is based in our new office in Bass Coast-South Gippsland and is part-time for a fixed-term contract until 30 June 2019 with the likely opportunity for extension subject to funding. The successful candidate will be required to work a late evening on Tuesdays.
