connectEDspace is a website by Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV), dedicated to young people to help provide all the information they need to deal with the stuff they go through each day.

Aboriginal Family and Relationship Support

RAV provides support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and individuals to help strengthen family relationships.

Counselling provides an opportunity to talk with a professionally trained person to discuss couple issues, conflicts with friends, relationship breakdown, parenting, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, grief, sexual problems, childhood sexual abuse, stress and work related tensions and disputes.


Clinical Leader - headspace Bass Coast South Gippsland

  • Part-time opportunity, 4 days per week (29.4 hours per week).

headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12 -25 year olds, along with assistance in promoting young peoples’ wellbeing. About the role:

Reporting to the Centre Manager headspace Bass Coast-South Gippsland you will work in a fast-paced environment and be an experienced professional with considerable knowledge and oversight of the coordination and delivery of clinical services. The Clinical Leader is responsible for providing clinical leadership and direction to the Centre team, ensuring that day-to-day clinical work is carried out to effectively meet the needs of young people. The Clinical Leader will also provide clinical support and guidance to clinical staff and ensure they are provided with adequate supervision.


Qualifications and Registrations: 

  • Tertiary level qualifications in an allied health discipline including social work, psychology, mental health nursing or occupational therapy.
  • Current full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) or current full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).


  • Demonstrated experience and advanced level clinical skills in a range of mental health service settings.
  • Experience in complex clinical intake, assessment and referral. 
  • Experience in service development and maintaining continuous quality improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience in the leadership of multidisciplinary teams, including the provision of clinical supervision and the facilitation of clinical review and performance management processes..

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage multiple and competing work tasks and deliver to agreed deadlines
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a diverse range of people, in particular to respond to young people with respect and sensitivity.
  • A broad understanding of the challenges and experiences of young people in Australia, including specific community factors.


This role is based in our new Centre in Wonthaggi and is for a part-time, fixed-term contract until November 2019 with the likely opportunity for extension subject to funding.. For this role, you can expect to work on a Tuesday evening each week. You will also be required to provide direct clinical services a day a week to a headspace Bass Coast – South Gippsland Outpost site.
