Aboriginal Family and Relationship Support

RAV provides support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and individuals to help strengthen family relationships.

Counselling provides an opportunity to talk with a professionally trained person to discuss couple issues, conflicts with friends, relationship breakdown, parenting, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, grief, sexual problems, childhood sexual abuse, stress and work related tensions and disputes.

About RAV

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, your responsibilities include management of RAV’s client services, programs, education, quality, tender and contractual obligations within a significant budget. This involves direct and indirect management of RAV’s 15 centres located in Melbourne metropolitan and regional Victoria, through a team of managers who are responsible for providing high quality, effective and efficient delivery of a wide range of clinical services to meet client needs in an evidence-based, outcomes-focused manner. The role is also responsible for tender development/submissions with a focus on business growth via new income streams aligned to RAV’s Vision and Focus as well as management of RAV’s ISO accreditation, quality management, audit and compliance requirements.

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Significant operational senior management experience in a complex community sector/health care organisation.
  • Degree and post-graduate qualifications in business, management, social work, behavioural sciences or similar.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to influence, negotiate, mentor and coach to drive effective outcomes.
  • Persuasive communication skills - you will be effective relating to both internal and external stakeholders, staff, management and board members sharing RAV’s Vision, Focus and Values.
  • Ability to implement a quality management, audit, compliance framework and meet ISO and funder (state and federal) contractual obligations including innovative, continuous improvement and change management.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in client service delivery, organisational development and management and in aligning, developing and motivating individuals and teams to achieve clinical excellence, including implementation of quality practice standards, development of policy and referral protocols, analysis and reporting of data and contract compliance.

This position will be based in our Camberwell office but will involve travel to RAV’s 15 centres located in Melbourne and regional Victoria.
