connectEDspace is a website by Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV), dedicated to young people to help provide all the information they need to deal with the stuff they go through each day.

Aboriginal Family and Relationship Support

RAV provides support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and individuals to help strengthen family relationships.

Counselling provides an opportunity to talk with a professionally trained person to discuss couple issues, conflicts with friends, relationship breakdown, parenting, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, grief, sexual problems, childhood sexual abuse, stress and work related tensions and disputes.


Senior Clinician - Boronia and Cranbourne

About the role:

Reporting to the Senior Manager Southern and Eastern Melbourne, your responsibilities include providing individual and group clinical supervision to staff at the centre, making professional judgements, offering feedback, support and challenging staff to ensure continuous improvement. In doing so, you will assist the Centre Manager to provide effective and efficient high-quality services and programs in alignment with RAV’s contractual obligations and strategic direction. As part of this role, you will also support the coordination of the Communities for Children Program.


Skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or related discipline.
  • Qualifications and demonstrated previous experience undertaking clinical supervision in a similar working environment and supervising a similar number of staff as required for this position.
  • The equivalent of five years full—time supervised experience in practice area.
  • Experience in working with Family Violence, Mental Health, Child Protection and relevant service sectors.
  • Eligibility for membership of a professional body (APS, AASW or appropriate organisation) is highly desirable.

This role is based across our centres in Boronia and Cranbourne. The position is part-time (4 days, 29hrs per week), fixed-term until 30 June 2019. The successful candidate will be required to work 9am to 5pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
