connectEDspace - support for young people

Young people can face all sorts of pressures – including problems at school, with friends or at home.
connectEDspace is a website by Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV), dedicated to young people to help provide all the information they need to deal with the stuff they go through each day.

Aboriginal Family and Relationship Support

RAV provides support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and individuals to help strengthen family relationships.

Counselling provides an opportunity to talk with a professionally trained person to discuss couple issues, conflicts with friends, relationship breakdown, parenting, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, grief, sexual problems, childhood sexual abuse, stress and work related tensions and disputes.

Our new website to support fathers

Relationships Australia Victoria
3:10pm Friday, 30 August 2019

As part of our Support for Fathers project, we’re excited to release a new website which is dedicated to supporting fathers across Australia. It provides free information, advice and resources for dads, and a toolkit for professionals who work with fathers and families.

Men, particularly fathers, often don’t use existing support services or have access to resources that are designed specifically to meet their circumstances and needs. Development of the website and resources has been informed by nationwide consultations we’ve conducted with fathers, families and service providers to identify what men need to support them in their role as fathers and partners, and how professionals can best engage and support dads.

We invite you to visit our website at www.supportforfathers.com.au and share it with colleagues, family and friends.

The website will be officially launched later this year. We’ll also be starting an Australian Roadshow to share the new resources with fathers, families and services through a series of free community information sessions and professional training opportunities.

Read the full media release for more information, download our flyer, or to arrange a free community information session or workplace training workshop, please contact our Support for Fathers Project Coordinator, Dom Alford, via email or on 0437 305 881.

Relationships Australia Victoria is funded by the Department of Social Services, as part of the National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children 2010-2022, to deliver the Support for Fathers project.
