No to Violence has developed a free, half-day training workshop for professionals and service providers in the family violence sector who work with clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
This training was developed in consultation with RAV, InTouch Multicultural Centre Against Family Violence, and Kildonan Uniting, as part of Corrections Victoria’s ‘Family Violence Services for culturally and linguistically diverse prisoners and offenders’ program. The program aims to provide culturally specific programs for men engaged with Corrections Victoria. It also aims to develop the capacity of professionals and service providers working with culturally and linguistically diverse clients in the family violence sector.
Four training sessions are scheduled across August and September 2018 in Shepparton, Dandenong, Sunshine and North Melbourne.
