connectEDspace - support for young people

Young people can face all sorts of pressures – including problems at school, with friends or at home.
connectEDspace is a website by Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV), dedicated to young people to help provide all the information they need to deal with the stuff they go through each day.

Aboriginal Family and Relationship Support

RAV provides support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and individuals to help strengthen family relationships.

Counselling provides an opportunity to talk with a professionally trained person to discuss couple issues, conflicts with friends, relationship breakdown, parenting, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, grief, sexual problems, childhood sexual abuse, stress and work related tensions and disputes.

Support Group for Women

Relationships Australia Victoria
9:02am Friday, 29 June 2018

Opening the Doors is a support group for women who have experienced family violence in a relationship and would like to join with other women to express themselves as well as regain their sense of self through learning, sharing, connecting and creating.

The group provides opportunities for participants to talk about their experience, learn from others, gain practical resources, understand the effects of family violence on women and children, and strengthen self-esteem.

Opening the Doors also involves hands-on activities that heal trauma through the body, mind, story and art.
The next program will commence on Thursday 26 July and run for eight weeks.

For more information and to discuss if this program is right for you, contact our friendly staff by calling (03) 8311 9222 or visiting

“(I found it useful) finding other women who have experienced the same or similar. Gaining the confidence to not feel ashamed, being able to identify trigger points. Feeling a connection with others and not feeling judged or isolated.” - Opening the Doors participant.
