Opening the Doors is a support group for women who have experienced family violence in a relationship and would like to join with other women to express themselves as well as regain their sense of self through learning, sharing, connecting and creating.
The group provides opportunities for participants to talk about their experience, learn from others, gain practical resources, understand the effects of family violence on women and children, and strengthen self-esteem.
Opening the Doors also involves hands-on activities that heal trauma through the body, mind, story and art.
The next program will commence on Thursday 26 July and run for eight weeks.
