connectEDspace - support for young people

Young people can face all sorts of pressures – including problems at school, with friends or at home.
connectEDspace is a website by Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV), dedicated to young people to help provide all the information they need to deal with the stuff they go through each day.

Aboriginal Family and Relationship Support

RAV provides support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and individuals to help strengthen family relationships.

Counselling provides an opportunity to talk with a professionally trained person to discuss couple issues, conflicts with friends, relationship breakdown, parenting, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, grief, sexual problems, childhood sexual abuse, stress and work related tensions and disputes.

Seniors Festival Music & Morning Tea

Relationships Australia Victoria
3:25pm Monday, 3 September 2018

To celebrate the Victorian Seniors Festival 2018, Relationships Australia Victoria invites Victorians aged 65 and over to join us in Kew on 12 October for a free morning of drumming activities and refreshments.

Rhythmic drumming involves hand-drumming to create rhythms, drum patterns and music.

This free activity is open to everyone. You don’t need any experience to join in – this workshop is ideal for beginners as well as those with more drumming experience.

Based on the DRUMBEAT program, the drumming is designed to improve social connections, enhance self-esteem and social skills, and provide you with strategies to manage emotions in healthy ways.

It’s great for coordination and a fun way to express yourself artistically.

You’ll also have the opportunity to find out about the services, workshops and groups that we offer to support people aged 65 and older, and their families, to have healthy, happy and safe relationships.

When: Friday 12 October 2018, from 10am to 1pm

Where: 46 Princess Street, Kew

Cost: Free

To reserve your place or to find out more, contact Kristie Hunter via email or by calling (03) 9261 8735. Please RSVP with any dietary requirements by Friday 5 October 2018.
