connectEDspace - support for young people

Young people can face all sorts of pressures – including problems at school, with friends or at home.
connectEDspace is a website by Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV), dedicated to young people to help provide all the information they need to deal with the stuff they go through each day.

Aboriginal Family and Relationship Support

RAV provides support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and individuals to help strengthen family relationships.

Counselling provides an opportunity to talk with a professionally trained person to discuss couple issues, conflicts with friends, relationship breakdown, parenting, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, grief, sexual problems, childhood sexual abuse, stress and work related tensions and disputes.

Walk Against Family Violence

Relationships Australia Victoria
11:30am Wednesday, 6 December 2017

On Friday 24 November 2017, RAV joined in the annual Walk Against Family Violence.

The Walk Against Family Violence is a community initiative that’s designed to raise awareness of family violence and the impact it has on the community. All members of the community are invited to join in the walk and show support for the elimination of violence against women and children.

RAV staff from across our metropolitan centres participated in the walk, including family violence practitioners and coordinators, community liaison officers and client service officers. The walk was well-attended, with a range of other family violence workers, agencies, organisations and members of the public participating.

In addition to participating in the annual walk, we also welcomed the opportunity to host a stall at Federation Square – where the walk began. Alongside a range of other family violence support services, we provided information and resources to visitors and those participating in the walk.

RAV recognises that family violence affects people from all walks of life, and we work to support all people who use or are affected by all types of family violence.
