connectEDspace - support for young people

Young people can face all sorts of pressures – including problems at school, with friends or at home.
connectEDspace is a website by Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV), dedicated to young people to help provide all the information they need to deal with the stuff they go through each day.

Aboriginal Family and Relationship Support

RAV provides support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and individuals to help strengthen family relationships.

Counselling provides an opportunity to talk with a professionally trained person to discuss couple issues, conflicts with friends, relationship breakdown, parenting, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, grief, sexual problems, childhood sexual abuse, stress and work related tensions and disputes.

Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) is the lead agency delivering headspace services for young people in Bass Coast and South Gippsland in Victoria, including through the headspace Wonthaggi Centre.

headspace National Youth Mental Health Foundation provides tailored and holistic early intervention mental health support to 12 to 25 year olds. headspace centres act as a one-stop-shop for young people who need help with mental health, physical health (including sexual health), alcohol and other drugs or work and study support. A national network of 110 headspace centres operates across metropolitan, regional and rural areas of Australia, along with a range of satellites, outreach and support. headspace also operates eheadspace, online and phone counselling service which supports young people who are not able to access a headspace centre or would prefer to get help online. Since 2006, headspace has supported more than half a million young Australians to strengthen their wellbeing and manage their mental health.

headspace Wonthaggi provides services from a central hub in Wonthaggi, in conjunction with five outreach locations in Cowes, Foster, Korumburra, Leongatha and Wonthaggi.

The centre provides free or low-cost confidential support services to help young people with any concerns they have about their mental health, drug and alcohol issues, work and study, general and sexual health, and relationships. Our services include a GP clinic, sexual assault counselling, generalist counselling, drug and alcohol assessment and referral, group work, disability support, family counselling, vocational guidance, help with job seeking as well as health and wellbeing services for all young people.
