connectEDspace is a website by Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV), dedicated to young people to help provide all the information they need to deal with the stuff they go through each day.

Aboriginal Family and Relationship Support


RAV provides support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and individuals to help strengthen family relationships.

Counselling provides an opportunity to talk with a professionally trained person to discuss couple issues, conflicts with friends, relationship breakdown, parenting, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, grief, sexual problems, childhood sexual abuse, stress and work related tensions and disputes.

    We are continuing to deliver many of our services through telephone, online and videoconferencing, however face-to-face services are currently unavailable. Please note that some opening hours have changed as a result of COVID-19. Our current opening hours are listed above.

    We have two centres in Sunshine - the Sunshine Family Relationship Centre and RAV Sunshine Centre.  Please check you have the correct address or call us to confirm before attending.

    Services

    • Family dispute resolution (FDR) for parenting and financial and property matters. We also offer an FDR outreach service in Werribee and Melton.
    • Online Counselling
    • Safe Resolutions: free, legally-assisted family dispute resolution for Vietnamese community
    • Information sessions and workshops
    • Referrals
    • Family violence support and recovery services for clients who are engaging in the FDR process and where family violence is or has previously been present.
    • Redress Support Services: for people contemplating or going through the National Redress Scheme.
    • Forced Adoption Support Service: for mothers, fathers, adopted persons and other family members affected by forced adoption

    Journeys session
    These information sessions are designed to assist separating parents navigate the challenges of separation while prioritising the needs of their children. We also offer specifically tailored sessions for members of the CALD community.
